Chamois cream x 1 full pot and as thick as possible. Depending where you do it and what time of year, there could be a lot of sweat and it will get very hot down there, so plan accordingly.
Numerous bib shorts – no seams,
Ditto saddle: no stitching, no ridges
Take a 32: if you never use it great, it’s there if you do
Stick a compact on
Battery packs for everything and make sure they’re charged prior to beginning the attempt
Lights
Spare cleats, spare wheels, spare shoes, entire change of kit
Sun screen
Hats (yes plural: your favourite hat that works perfectly for a 3 hour ride suddenly becomes tight/loose as you sweat your way through a 20 hour grind-fest)
Sunnies/clear/orange lenses
Bidons
Toilet paper
Ipod and speaker
Esky – put 2 bidons in the esky on ice and one on your bike and rotate them out. Chances are you will only need one per ascent and saving 500g per ascent is a very good idea.
